Windows 10 Update stalled or stuck

Windows 10 update began normally with the blue screen and % tracker and said it would restart multiple times but now stuck on screen with ASUS logo. How long should I wait to see if it continues? What steps can I take if it is stuck like this for hours???

You should let it run it's course. As s thumb rule, this is becoming a common occurrence with the OS borking and preventing the update from going through. It's a good practice to back up your critical content onto a removable storage media like a pen drive.

If it does not move forward, you can try and power down the system forcefully but that hasn't given anyone fruition.

If you mean literally for hours, then smth is wrong. if not, then wait it can take like around 30-60 mins in some cases
