microsoft remote support session needed to restart my laptop shutdown was ok though took a while. My laptop has been on for over an hour with the blue 'activity' light flashing but does not actually start up - screen is blank!
And what exactly did this Microsoft support tech do? They could not tell you why the system won't turn on? Try holding in the power button for about 15 seconds, turn it on again see if it boots.
