Windows 7 won't load

I used a samaung 1tb hd from a 8 month old hp desktop running amd processor, in a new desktop with asus M/B and Intel Quad 7. Windows 7 won't load. Tried system restore but still won't load.. What do you think prob is?

Did you simply move the HDD into your new system without reinstalling windows?.....I'm guessing you did this.

For many reasons i.e. hardware change (e.g. cpu, motherboard), you must do a full reinstall of windows (I know this will be a pain but you have to do this). Of course, make sure you backup everything you need to first.

If, on the other hand, you did do a full reinstall of windows, did it boot into the desktop immediately after this install?

Thank you for reply I found out you cannot transfer a oem drive with windows operating system to a custom rebuild ,new motherboard. The system will not load due to legal issues. So I Installed a new windows 7 and all is well. Thanks to all for you replies.
