Windows 8.1 doesn't recognize my internal Toshiba 2TB HDD.

I've searched everywhere and can't seem to find a solution. Please help!!!

I have a PNY SSD 120GB and it's my main drive. I have another Toshiba 2TB internal HDD, but I can't seem to see the drive to setup/initialize/format. I can see the drive in my BIOS and can even see it in my device manager, but I CANNOT see it in disk management. Can someone please help???

If it isn't showing up in disk management it may be defective. Since you can see it in device manager I am assuming you can see it in the bios?

Yes, I can see it in the BIOS. I also know that the HDD works as I used in this very computer before reformatting and can hear it spool up.

Is this a windows issue? I see all sorts of posts with similar issues, but I can't seem to find the solution to my particular problem. Someone PLEASE HELP!!!

Is there another computer you can try the hard drive in? If you have the same problem you have definitely got a bad drive.

Even though the hard drive is showing up in disk management, when you look at the properties does it say there is a driver installed?

I haven't checked the HDD in another computer as I don't have another one handy.

Yes, it does state that the drivers are installed.
