Windows 8 install

Tried installing Windows 8 on a new computer. CD key is apparently not valid, even though it says on the box that you can use it again as many times as you like.

Although it's rumoured will be coupling the licence to an individual through a Microsoft account but currently, you can only reinstall it on the computer which first activated it.

Thanks but everything is working now, though I don't why. What a bloody waste of money, Microsoft rip people off.
