[citation][nom]screechy[/nom]Hopefully this along with android can rob apple from their crown. I can't wait to try it out[/citation]

Apple has 3rd place when it comes to smartphones.
1st BB
2nd Android
3rd iphone.

Don't believe Jobs, they are not leading anything when it comes to phones, other than dropped calls.

I don't get the "Hopefully Apple will drown now" etc. type comments. Do you people have a vested interest in these companies? Do you own stock in them or are you just living vicariously through the people that work at these companies making sick money?

Good lord.

[citation][nom]Ehsan w[/nom]Get an iphone4.(don't call me a fanboy...I only have an iPod and an htc xD)[/citation]

Yeh, I had a 3GS, but it broke, I'm using a stupid little temp phone I got from my service provider while I wait for the Iphone4 (I live in Brazil, it hasn't gotten down here yet)..

Anyway, I'm in doubt about the Iphone, don't get me wrong, I loved my 3GS, but that Galaxy S looks awesome.. I don't mind waiting a couple of months more if it means I get a better device, just not sure if this Win phone is it. :)

I don't see myself getting the phone. Apple has the best OS for phones IMO. At least they have the best phone if your finally entering the superphone market like I was. Though my next purchase might be a Droid next year, but I realllllllllly want a PSPhone!

This is past fashionably late entrance for Microsoft on this whole playing field, so the damn thing better not suck by anyones measure. As I see it, they have two things going for them:
1. Since this is brand new stuff, it should come with current level technology, meaning most people that are up for renewal will have this as a viable option.
2. Most people already use Windows, so syncing will not require an entire separate program. Also, in deploying 130 iPhones to employees, this is the biggest issue I've ran in to. It seems that the iPhone just doesnt always play nice with non-apple PC's. Note that i do not blame windows, as I myself have had zero issues, but out of 130 42 people have major issues syncing to their home iTunes.
So lets see if Ballmers over-zealous attitude towards this can actually live up to the hype. I personally doubt it, but then again I've hated windows mobile since it was invented so perhaps I'm biased.

I like the new approach that Microsoft is taking, it's learning from all communities who help the developers to improve the quality of the product.
I don't why but I'm interested in this phone.

[citation][nom]soldier37[/nom]I dont want a phone with anything related to the Crapbox on it, no thanks![/citation]Look, we know Bill Gates beat up your dad in high school in a vicious nerd fight. We get it, move on.

Windows Phone 7 is finished ? Well thats it Microsoft , you tried and lost.......

For all apple fanboys and to all poeple who recommend other to get an IPhone 4:
Only stupid or mentally disabled peoplewanna buy an IPhone 4.
Which smart and mentally healthy people wanna spend more than €1000 for a smartphone with lots of bugs and 2 years dreadful contract, which in the end will cost more than €2400.

LOL!!

"Windows Phone 7 is the most thoroughly tested mobile platform Microsoft has ever released," says Microsoft's Terry Myerson. "We had nearly ten thousand devices running automated tests daily, over a half million hours of active self-hosting use, over three and a half million hours of stress test passes, and eight and a half million hours of fully automated test passes. We’ve had thousands of independent software vendors and early adopters testing our software and giving us great feedback," he continued. "We are ready."

if this phone has ANY sort of bug in it he'd wish he's shut his bug trap soooooooooo much 😛

You are comparing the number of phones running their OS, not individual phones. No individual Android phone has sold more than the iPhone4.

There is only ONE iPhone4--compared to how many droids??? On how many providers??? You are 'apples' and oranges!

That's Apple's choice. They could license the OS, but they don't.

and no android phone has had as many issues as the iphone4 death grip, and thier super strong helecopter glass that cracks when you look at it wrong

anroid is an os yes but when jobs talks iphone number he talks about all ios devices not just the iphone4 so there are multiple models.

but as for the topic at hand i hope win7 phones are good and incorporate well with both windows and xbox live.

I'll be more excited though if HP continues developing webOS because of all the phones out there i still think its the most seamless and efficient and visually pleasant phone os out there

[citation][nom]Smochina[/nom]Blackberry and Android are not smartphones, just some crap OS that can run java apps. Pfff. This is what Google should have done, wait, and develop a proper phone operating system, like Microsoft did. Not rush to the market with a second hand OS that doesn't run native code applications. You guys complain about Appstore having tons of crap applications? You haven't seen what's on Google's app market then.[/citation]

Are you retarded? Blackberry as still the market leaders in BUSINESS SMARTPHONES. I don't like them personally, but you're delusional if you think these 2 OS's are inferior.

WP7 is going to blow everyone out of the water. I'll be back here to tell you I told you so in a few months time.
