Windows shell common dll has stopped working

Hello,
THE SOUND DEAD AT ALL (NO SPEAKER, NO MICROPHONE...ETC)IN MY ACER 5332 LAPTOP, I HAVE WINDOWS 7 OS. WHEN I OPEN THE PROPERTY OF SOUND SHOW ME THAT (THIS DEVICE WORKING PROPERLY!!!!); I LOOK FOR MANY SOLUTIONS BUT NOT DETECTED YET HELP PLEASE

2. Did it ever work?
3. Have you installed the drivers for it?
4. What is your error message? Other than no sound
