I have a laptop tablet with a touch screen. So Windows 8 and on come with the Start menu and on the side a sort of menu bar that appears in desktop mode and on the start menu. When you pull it out it has all these settings like preferences that can be accessed. I was messing with the buttons at the top of my keyboard and also my setting. Somehow I made the side bar thingy go away how do I get it back?

Found an answer to that apparently the menu bar thingy is called the charms bar. If it disappears you can simply press the Windows button and C and it will pop up but if the option to move it form just touching or clicking n the screen then the screen needs to be re-calibrated.
