If you happen to have junctions or symbolic links(some are used as part of the OS for compatibility.) They can cause all kinds of interesting side effects when looking at things in explorer.

An extreme example of this(you will almost NEVER have this in real world use).
Over 6000gigs on a 128 gigabyte drive anyone.

Now your setup seems pretty extreme unless you have made some of your own Junctions or Symlinks.

You can use a program called Windirstat to see what is taking space and how much(it knows junctions/symlinks do not take space so the helps it be more accurate.).

Hello... 1) If you don't use hibernation you can get > 10gb ? of space back... windirstat will show ya.
2) You can disable/reduce your "Pagefile.sys" and get that SSD space back... the more Ram you have the better this will work.

It is not exactly the same, but clearly your Windows folder does not look to be a space hog at all.

I misread your first post. Your windows folder is not as bad as mine :) . Please sort the program showing the full hard drive, this should help you track space use. You can also see files such as pagefile.sys and hiberfile.sys(do not remove these, they have to be removed or resized properly).

Since Windows does have junction points for compatibility with users folders, you may be seeing those 2 times. This would cause the issue you are seeing. Under normal circumstances these holders should actually be not allow you to view contents so unless you did some kind of permission modification, they normally do not show up as taking space.

For example if you went to c : \ documents and settings \ your name \ You would see what looks like an extra copy of your files, but they are just pointing back to c : \ user \ your name \

Again, under normal use it should not show up.

EDIT Windows 10 may just show/be able to see more info.

Hello... http://techgage.com/article/disabling_windows_pagefile_hibernation_to_reclaim_ssd_space/

Walk around the screens/folders/files to see large use... Your C:\Windows size looks very good at 10.9GB size, 58GB some where else on it you could move or re-cover, i.e. put your Pagefile.sys to your D: drive B )

Why do you have to do anything? Are you having issues with the computer? If you are, what issues?

Many computer problems are caused by people that try to "fix" something that is not actually broken or try to "free space" or "speed things up".
