Hello Tom,

Could you tell me what the problem would be when I keep loosing my wireless network connection?

I could be on the internet for five minutes or up to a hour, never can tell. I have a Dell XPS M1530, and the switch on the side of the laptop is always in the forward position. I had people look for updates, uninstall and reinstall but nothing works. Does it need a wireless network adapter? Or a new network card. Please let me know what you think.

Thanks Dean

What are you connecting to? Could also be an interference issue.

My networking instructor at college told us the story of a San Diego business that hired him to fix their issue. Every 45sec (?) their wireless would drop EVERYBODY. He crawled around in their attics trying to find the problem. Taking a break for lunch, he sat on a hill eating while looking at the ocean. That's when he noticed that they we semi close to a navel base. Close enough that he could watch a radar dish spin around every 45sec. Grounding the side of the building facing the base fixed the problem.
