Wireless lan Issues after reformat

I have an acer aspire3100 laptop, which comes with a wlan integrated. Now the laptop displays enabled and disabled messages, however I have nothing else wireless, no options nothing, yet is HAS a wireless card and I have installed the broadcom wlan drivers they offer on the acer support site.



Any ideas on how to fix this?>

Does the site have any other wireless card drivers? I ask because with Dells, for example, they have a few different brands of cards they use, hence it can be hit and miss with the drivers sometime. If there are others drivers, give those a try and see if one works.

they have another called atheros or something, tried installing that and it said "no compatible card found" that must be a expansion wireless card or something.
