With the AMD A8 processor, which OS is better Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 ??

i have recently bought a sony vaio and it has an amd a8 processor with a windows 8.1 os...but the problem is that it runs very slow and hangs very often...so i m planning to degrade it to windows 7 os...hoping it to work faster...my work on my laptop comprises mainly of word ,excel, ppt, internet surfing (mainly) etc..so should i degrade it to windows 7 for a better performance or not??

This, you need at least 8gb of ram with an APU processor

Changing to windows 7 won't help

I have the same problem. My laptop (Asus u38n) becomes very slow at certain moments...
I think memory is not a problem (assuming you have dual channel), i have 6 gb of ram and a kingston ssd. One thing I discovered is that the processor never reaches 2.4 GHz, called core turbo clock.

Maybe installing Windows 7 we can have better experiences.
