Won' Ok on AC but fails on DC

Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-291

Will not run on DC. Battery is appearently good (both Win7 and HMONITOR report it as 100% - HMONITOR says it has 17% wear, which is consistent with age)Runs OK on AC but will not boot or run on DC and will "die" immeadiatly if AC connector is pulled. Win7 detects if the battery is removed and show 100% when it is replaced.

If this isn't in the right place feel free to move it, ta.

sorry finger trouble title should be "Ok on AC but fails on DC", don't seem to be able to edit title, sorry.

Quite bizarre, took battery out to check for hidden switch on battery or in battery bay - clutching at straws. Replaced battery and laptop booted. No idea what happeded but i'm nver going to take the battery out again!!
