Hello,

My mom needs a new computer for work purposes, she needs to be able to run things like Photoshop, Coral Draw, some fancy 'dobi' program (cant remember the exact name, but it definitely has something to do with dobi :) ) and of course Microsoft Office.

I have never dealt in the world of 'work' desktops and have only built two pcs - both for gaming, so what i thought was required for this pc may be waaaay off the mark. I came up with three builds that i thought might possibly fit the bill (cheap, medium, huge sum of money):

1)
CPU: AMD Kaveri A10-7850K
Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty FM2A88X+ Killer
Graphics Card: (integrated graphics)
RAM: ADATA XPG V2, 8GB Kit, DDR3-2600, CL11, Silver
Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Blue, 1TB, 3.5", SATA6G, 7200rpm
Power Supply: GIGABYTE GreenMax Plus, 550w, 80 PLUS Bronze

2)
CPU: Intel Haswell Core i5-4670K, 3.40GHz, Quad Core, LGA1150
Motherboard: ASUS Z97-K, LGA1150, Intel Z97 Chipset, ATX
Graphics Card: SAPPHIRE Radeon R9 280X, 3GB, DDR5, PCI-Express 3.0
RAM: ADATA XPG V2, 8GB Kit, DDR3-2600, CL11, Silver
Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Black, 1TB, 3.5", SATA6G, 7200rpm
SSD: Samsung 840 PRO, 128GB, 2.5" SATA6G
Power Supply: Corsair CS, 650w, 80 PLUS Gold, Modular

3)
CPU: Intel Haswell-E i7-5820K, 3.30GHz, HexCore, LGA2011
Motherboard: ASUS X99 Deluxe, LGA2011, Intel X99 Chipset, ATX
Graphics Card: ASUS GeForce GTX 780, 6GB, DDR5, PCI-Express 3.0
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport, 16GB Kit, DDR4-2400, CL16, Silver
Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Black, 1TB, 3.5", SATA6G, 7200rpm
SSD: Samsung 840 PRO, 128GB, 2.5" SATA6G
Power Supply: Corsair RM, 1000w, 80 PLUS Gold, Modular

So my Question is do any of these builds work? the pc has to last a while and run those programs smoothly, and while there is no budget, we would like to spend as little as possible. (the pc doesn't need to have glowing neon fans and be colour co-ordinated -.-) Maybe i need a completely new build?

Also, we have an 18" 720p screen at home, do you think this is big enough, or should we also get a new one?

Thanks in advance for any help :)

IMO 8.1 is more suitable for what she needs
this will be fine slightly overkill on what she need, she doesn't need a gaming video card...

a FX6300,8gb ram,970 mobo and GT 730 or HD 77** would be great for her needs

but if i need to pick with those, probably A-10.
18" will be fine

what is your top budget? i can build you one.

We don't really have a budget. we can spend as much as we need to, i would just prefer not to spend more than we need to. My mom was expecting something near R20000 - R25000 (around $2000 to $2500), but it is looking a lot cheaper now :) if you could make a build for us it would be awesome :D

Software:
-Windows 8.1 or 7 (can't decide :))
-Microsoft Office
-Corel Draw
-Photoshop
-Captivate
-Adobe Acrobat Professional XI Windows
-There are possibly more but they are similar to software listed above.

She is a professional, but not a graphic designer or anything fancy like that. She needs it for high end business purposes. The pc will be used for stuff like content authoring and editing, plus small stuff like creating graphs and copyright .... things.

Each individual file will most likely not be anywhere near 200mb, but all of them together could be much bigger.

But if that stuff doesn't matter then i will just use the build you gave me from above :)... So the question is: does it matter?

this will be fine slightly overkill on what she need, she doesn't need a gaming video card, IGP hd 4600 can do the job.
If she decides to make serious 3d plugins on PS get gtx 750 Ti/77**. for more heavy graphical works GTX 760 ti 2gb(upgrade your psu to XFX 550w). but as long as she is satisfied on rendering on ps don't get video card.
SSD and HDD caviar black is optional, they can make the load time faster.
