i want to use my Samsung flat screen as a monitor. i just purchased a vga monster cable. My laptop is not responding . The only thing i see is pc on my samsung tv. The laptop is Dell.

Can you be more descriptive? I'm not sure what your problem is yet. Do you mean your TV does not detect the computer signal? What do you mean your computer is not responding?

And, for future reference, monster cables are massively overpriced. Don't buy their cables.
