Hey! please anybody help me. My laptop is working fine but the problem I am facing is that when it shut down the power light blinks. and I have to hold it for like 10 seconds to turn it off. I tried to switch to a fast startup but that also does not work for me. By doing fast startup I still have to hold for 10 seconds and then again a click to turn it on. what's the problem exactly? is this a major problem????

After shutting down not only does the power light blink but if I am using keyboard backlights they also stay on.

OK--so Windows is not closing down. I wanted to make sure it wasn't an issue with the Windows power settings. Since you are using a hard shutdown, this is not likely the case. Are you running any pirated software such as a game copied from a torrent site? "Cracked" software or illegal copies of software often contain additional software that does bad things. Things you can try in a recommended order:
  1. Run an offline virus scanner. Search on line for one that you can copy to a bootable flash drive.

Holding down the power button actually does a hardware reset which is not a good way to shut down your machine. It is possible (though quite unlikely) to mess up some files doing that. How exactly are you telling the machine to shut down? What version of Windows are you running? It sounds like the machine is going into sleep mode but I don't know why the backlight would stay on in that case.

Let's try again. Exactly what do you do to try to "shutdown". There are several ways. Close the lid, Push the power button, use the power icon in the lower left corner and pick shutdown, what?
I use the power icon in the lower left corner and pick shutdown. I have never left my laptop closing the lid. And yes. I try to close the lid once. But it went into sleep mode . And does not turned on. So i had to hold the button to first powered it off and restart it.

Create an install USB. Do this by following the steps at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10). Select the option to make media for another computer.
OR---https://www.howtogeek.com/714130/how-to-install-windows-10-from-a-usb-drive/ if you want more details. Chose the option to completely wipe your hard drive.

Your problem can be caused by many things and is not simple to fix. If you want the surest fix go right to #3 and reinstall Windows. Let me know how it goes,
