It looks the same as a 360's interface. So....

And its a very smart thing for Microsoft to take advantage of all the benefits of a PC based OS, like multi-tasking. You can do the same stuff in Windows.

And, I feel bad that you can't accept Windows 8. People take one part of it and moan and complain and act like the entire OS is different when in reality, its the same thing just a different Start menu. And under the hood, 8/8.1 is better than 7.

@Ubercake

"Where does your temperature info come from? Or are you just assuming the thing gets hot because it's AMD inside? This would carry over to the PS4 if that's the case."

My info comes from computer logic.

It may not overheat to the point of failure, but this, and yes the PS4, will get extremely hot. There's only so much cooling you can put into a small case, and it will just push the heat out, as best it can anyway, so it has to go somewhere else, which will be the ambient space around the system which raises the systems ambient temperatures too, thus more heat. This is a small ITX type case after all.

Manufacturing processes are better then they were in 2006, but it can only take you so far with lowering TDP while still trying to give out high end visuals. And yes, because it is an AMD, which runs notably hotter then intels. And this uses a real on-die GPU rather then intels cheap dyes.

Am I the only one who really misses the Xbox 360 original dashboard? Don't get me wrong, it was missing major functionality, but that could be fixed, and it was very focused and to the point. The new stuff just seems spread too thin, distracting at all times but never grasping my attention. Alas, gaming on consoles has lost it's appeal, as all the same functionality in more attractive form factors nowadays. So long Xbox, hello M-ITX desktop.

Bluestar, that's a ridiculous statement, especially since you don't have any idea how many Watts this APU is going to eat under a load. I don't think they'll have any problems, especially since they overbuilt the cooling system on it.

It's computer logic. You just don't understand. 😉

Xbox if you live in north america because of its integration with the TV network programming. Play Station if you live in the rest of the world.
