XP Barton Copper Wire Trick

Does any one tried the trick revealed on the article AMD XP 3000+ vs P4 3.06 to unlock a 2500+ barton cpu? i have done the wire in the pins but still locked at 11.5 witht my 2600+ barton. If any one could help here and tell me why it doesn't work i would apreciate it. By the way my mobo is a MSI K7N2G-ILSR with latest bios. sorry for my bad english.

I think you need to cut or join all the L11 bridges, but I haven't checked that out.... I just seem to recall reading something like that.

Bartons after like Nov 2003 are multiplier locked. Nothing you can do will help you. Sorry.
