Xp pro install.

I have an older toshiba satilite a10-s127 and I'm trying to load a clean xp pro but can't get it start. any ideas.

What kind of error are you getting when trying to boot?

No error message at all, It just doesn't start to load. I tried the CD on my desktop and it wouldn't load there either. Don't have a clue what the problem is.

Are you actually getting to the "Press any key to boot from CD" or does it just sit there. I have a newer Toshiba, and if I press F12 it will give me a boot menu to choose from. Do you have this option?

It does say " press any key to continue" but nothing happens. I have tried the F12 and every combo I could think of.

Have you ever been able to boot from CD? Since the CD doesnt boot in your desktop, it is possible that the disk is bad.

I'm thinking its a bad disk
