[citation][nom]max787[/nom]whats the difference between the arcade version and the normal version? is there less storage etc?[/citation]

The Arcade version comes with a 256MB internal memory for your saves I supose. You can buy for it seperately later on any of the offered HDDs from MS. The new ones arent all that expensive anymore compaired to what they were till a few months ago. Comes with only one controller and also with 2 games. Thats about it.

If I ever buy an Xbox, I'll buy the newest one.. which has better cooling and thus much more reliability...

I don't fancy RROD material.. even if it is for $99.

Bought the PS3 for GT5 and look where that got me... without a good driving game. I should have gotten the Xbox and Forza 2/3.

GT5 better kick ass..

I was going to get a PS3 a few years ago for GT5, but since they had no release date, I picked up an xbox instead. Considering the way things have turned out, I think it was the right decision.

[citation][nom]gm0n3y[/nom]If only we had a value added tax. Remember to add 15% on top of that $200 for our tax.[/citation]

The taxes vary depending on where you live. For example; in Alberta the sales tax is only 5%, but in Ontario it's 13%.

Actually, I live in BC and ours is 12% (not 15).

Oh yeah I know the taxes depend where you live. I was just giving an example :)

I picked one up as a spare. That price is great. And I can use the gift card later on to buy a GPS around Christmas or whatever else. Pretty nice deal.

to jodpel-

at the wal mart i work at (service desk) if someone comes in with their receipt within a ninety day period we will match the price of the item they purchased to the new sale price. so give it a shot. take in your xbox and ask them to match the 199.99 price to the 149.99 price. if the service desk won't do it (cus they are being jerks) get a manager.

I just got one at Target. It was $130+tax. They then gave me the $50 gift card and only taxed me on $80. So in MN at 7.25% it was something like $85.50. I have no idea why it rang up at $130, even the tag on the shelf said 149.99.
