Yikes: The Galaxy Tab is Going to be Expensive

As I talked about going to buy me a I5800 and S8500 with some of my friends, they have told me "Are you sure, that you wanna have samsung's product? They are...bla..bla...bla...", at the beginning I didn't understand or believe what those words are.
Now I UNDERSTAND perfectly!

Personally, I have an android phone .. I will wait for a tablet with just WiFi. No interest in a tablet with 3G.

Live in Sweden and way to much hardware are expencive compared to the other markets, guess the main reason that too many people don't even compare - Just accept whatever price is set so the companies can charge whatever their greed/heart desires.

Much like appleoids elsewhere but here it dont seem to matter what brand.

I'm ONLY getting the original from now on -- the iPad baby. I'm not supporting these loser companies who can only COPY with Android. What a joke the computer industry has become!!!

The iPad doesn't use OS X does it? I thought it was just the iphone operating thing scaled up.

Further to what a number of other people have said - UK pricing and that in the rest of Europe is never anything like the US pricing for this type of thing. Looking at the apple UK online thing, the cheapest ipad (16gb, no 3g) is £429, the most expensive (32gb, with 3g) is £699. That's not much different - so whilst not outrageous in comparison it's probably still too expensive, especially with netbooks / cheap laptops that float around at below £300 sucking away market leaving just those who want something trendy and applelike even if it's just about useless.
