I have a Yoga 910 it won't boot. It starts only if plugged in and by utilizing the Novo button. It stays on for few seconds. The battery indicator flashes amber. The laptop is little over a year old. I called the technical support. Since it's out of warranty their answer was to take it to a Lenovo repair center. I'm out of the country for work and I need the laptop. I would appreciate any help.
Thanks,

I removed the battery and I checked if it was fully charged; it was. I tried to boot only with the AC adapter. The unit turns on and passed the logo it tries to check the system, but it switches off like there is no power. It reboots, but again after few seconds it turns off. I tried to access the bios by pressing the Novo button. I reached the boot sequence in the bios, but it turns off again. I reinserted the battery and tried again; same results as above. Same with AC power and battery. HHD failure perhaps???

It is possible. It could also be a RAM issue, the motherboard, even software if it is only going so far and then restarting. Have you tried starting in "Safe Mode" to see if you get the same results? If not, then it is likely not hardware. If you do, then I would start looking at the hardware.

How to enter "Safe Mode" when booting the computer.

In Windows 8 and 10...

As your computer restarts, press F8 (possibly a few times) to enter "Safe Mode"

a. Press the "F4" key to Enable "Safe Mode".
(The computer will then start in "Safe Mode" with a minimal set of drivers and services.)

b. Press the "F5" key to Enable "Safe Mode" with Networking.
( Once "Safe Mode" with Networking starts, Windows is in Safe Mode, with additional network and services for accessing the Internet and other computers on your network.)

c. Press the "F6" key to Enable "Safe Mode" with Command Prompt.
(In "Safe Mode" with "Command Prompt" starts Windows in Safe Mode, with a Command Prompt window instead of the Windows interface. This option is mostly only used by IT professionals.)

Now sign in to the computer with your account name and password. (If you have one set.) When you are finished troubleshooting, you can exit "Safe Mode" restarting your computer.

In Windows 7/Vista/XP...

1. Immediately after turning on the computer, or restarting it (usually after you hear your computer beep), tap the F8 key, repeatedly, in 1 second intervals.

2. The computer will then display hardware information and run a memory test.

3. Next the "Advanced Boot Options" menu will appear.

4. In the "Advanced Boot Options" menu use the arrow keys to select "Safe Mode" or "Safe Mode with Networking" and press ENTER.

Thank you for the tips. My OS is Windows 10. I cannot get passed the logo page. Some times it shows "Preparing Automatic Repair" and then dies. From time to time I manage the bios set up, but it dies before I can make any changes.

No it didn't :/ It looks like that after few seconds the power fails. I tried plugged in and battery, only battery and only plugged in. Same results :(
I cannot boot from the USB due to the BIOS configuration.

It doesn't keeps on for more than few seconds. I don't have enough time to change the BIOS.
I removed the SSD and tried to boot. Same issue the laptop shuts down after few seconds, perhaps it lasted one extra second.
I forgot to mention that either with AC connected or battery the only way to revive the unit is by pressing the Novo button (reset). The power button has no effect.
