There's no change. Ten minutes of video is still 10 minutes of video. They convert them to .flv format and that 10 minute file comes out looking the same size whether you upload a 100mb or a 1gb video.

I'm looking at Google Video and there is no time limit. What's the deal? Is Google in competiton with itself?

I've always wondered why they don't just let users upload video that is in FLV format already, allowing for higher quality videos instead of recoding everything into crap.

I've converted some video to flv just to see what quality I could achieve, and the results where much better than the stuff on youtube with the same low file size.

I guess most people don't mind watching terrible quality video.
