Lately i've been having problems with my Z560's where no sound seems to play at all. I frequently use headphones and found that when removing the headphones from the jack my speakers wont play any sounds. However sometimes if i yanked the headphones out of the jack quickly then sound would return to my speakers.

The past week though this has not worked and now i'm miffed as to why my speakers won't play at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would suspect the contacts on your headphone jack are not returning completely to their resting position when you unplug your headphones. Could be they're worn out,not made robustly enough,or have developed some oxidation on the contacts. Sometimes a squirt of contact-cleaner onto the headphones' plug & then inserting & removing the plug a few times will break up the oxide on the contacts & restore operation. I used to do this all the time for older stereo receivers.
