Most of the times, devices bug the heck out of you. It is sometimes an internal error or an external issue. At most, it is the wi-fi connection or signal strength that gives us the problem. Keeping a check on it is important because it ultimately decides the streaming speed and quality of the movie or episode you are watching on Roku. With laptops and mobiles, you can check the Wi-Fi signal strength in a snap but checking the same on your smart TV or any other device can be confusing. Checking the signal strength of your Roku device is simple.
When you find a lag in the content being played, press ‘Home’ button on the remote to access the homepage.
Scroll to ‘Settings’
When you are on the home screen, scroll down to settings with the help of your remote. Click on ‘Settings’ now.
Once you get inside settings, you have a list of options in front of you. You just need to click the very first option, which is ‘Network.’
Check the Connection
Getting inside the Network option gives you a list of details about the connectivity. You can check your Wifi signal strength right here.
You need to set up your Roku device with the Wifi already, only then you can access the network settings. If you don’t, you will get a blank slate, or you won’t get the option of checking the connection.
