How to Soft Reset Your Roku device?

1. Open ‘Settings’
Scroll down the main menu of your Roku device using the trackpad on the remote. Find the ‘Settings' option and select it. The ‘Settings screen’ will display on your TV.

2. Select ‘System’
Scroll down to the ‘System’ option in the Settings screen, and select it. The ‘System preference settings’ screen will be displayed on-screen.

3. ‘Restart’ System
Scroll down to the ‘System Restart’ option on the menu and select it. ‘System restart’ will be initiated, and the ‘Roku’ logo will be displayed on the screen as the system prepares for reboot. Roku will reboot after a few minutes, and the device will have completed a soft reset.

How to Hard Reset Your Roku Device?

1. Open ‘Settings’
Use the remote to scroll down in the ‘Home’ menu, and select the ‘Settings’ option.

2. Open ‘System Settings’
Select the ‘System’ option in the ‘Settings’ menu. The ‘System settings’ will be displayed.

3. Go to ‘Advanced System Settings’
Scroll down the ‘System settings’ option and select the ‘Advanced System Settings’ option. The Advanced options will be displayed.

4. Hit ‘Factory Reset’
Select the ‘Factory Reset’ option. You will be asked to enter the confirmation code as displayed on the screen. Enter it using your remote.

5. Enter ‘Confirmation Code’
Enter the ‘Confirmation code’ and select the ‘OK’ button. Your system will reset, and when it restarts you will have to set up Roku from the beginning.
