How to Use the Roku Remote to Control Your Sound Bars

Connecting your sound bar to Roku will give you an unprecedented level of audio quality. The Roku remote can be used to control these sound bars, as well as the basic functions of your TV.
Setting up your sound bars with your Roku TV is not difficult. You can follow these steps to guide you through the process.

1.) Open 'Settings'
Scroll down to the 'Settings' option in your 'Home' menu, and select it. The settings and preferences for your Roku will appear on your screen.

2.) Go to 'Audio'
Scroll down to the 'Audio' option. Select it. The 'Audio Preferences' menu will be shown on the screen.

3.) Set 'Audio Mode'
Select the 'Audio' mode option and set it to 'Auto (DTS)'. This will allow for your Roku to automatically detect connected output speakers.

4.) Set 'S/PDIF' and 'ARC'
Open the 'S/PDIF' and 'ARC' settings in the same 'Audio' menu. Select the 'Auto-detect' option. Again, this will allow Roku to automatically detect your speaker identity. Exit the Audio settings.

5.) Open 'System Settings'
Open the 'System' settings by scrolling down and selecting the 'System' option in the Settings menu.

6.) Select 'CEC' (Control Other Devices)
Scroll down the 'System' settings and select the 'CEC' option. The CEC preferences will appear on screen.

7.) Set 'CEC'
Set the optimum CEC preference by clicking the 'checkboxes for ARC (HDMI)', System audio control, and System standby. This will allow your sound bars to be controlled by your Roku. You can use your Roku remote to level the volume up or down in your sound bar, using the volume buttons.

You will now be able to use your sound bars with Roku.
