MS PowerPoint 2013 Moves to Previous Slide When Right-Clicked During Slideshow

As per the MS PowerPoint default configuration, every time right mouse button is pressed during the slideshow, a context menu is displayed using which you can take appropriate actions when the slideshow is in process. If you are not able to see the context menu, and the slideshow moves to the previous slide, it is sure that somebody has messed with the settings either deliberately or accidentally. Apart from this, the chances are that any incompatible application might have modified the settings automatically.

In either case, you can revert the settings back to the default by accessing the ‘PowerPoint Options’ box that can be accessed by going to ‘FILE > Options’.

You can revert the settings to default without any administrative intervention, or without having any core technical skills. However it is always advisable that you should be well versed with MS Office interface, or at least with the MS PowerPoint 2007 or above programs to avoid and accidental misconfiguration. In case none of these conditions are true, you can still perform the task by following the steps exactly the way they are given below.

Here’s what you need to do to get the job done:

■Log on to the computer using any account. (Remember the administrative intervention is required, and therefore no elevated privileges (administrator account permissions) are needed.).

■Initialize the MS PowerPoint 2013 program by either going to the Start > All Programs > Microsoft Office 2013, or by double-clicking the icon if you have place it on the desktop.

■After initializing the program, open any existing presentation or create a new one.

■On the opened interface, go to the FILE tab.

■From the displayed list, go to Options.
