Marnie is one of the many characters that you meet in Stardew Valley. She is also one of the most helpful people you will meet as well. She is the local rancher which means that she keeps all sorts of animals. In fact, she loves animals so much that she doesn’t even like taking eggs away from chickens as she feels it might upset them. She is your go-to source for any and all animal needs. She will sell you feed for the animals as well as the animals themselves, provided you have a proper home for them. You can also buy tools from Marnie like a bucket to collect milk or shears to collect wool.
Marnie’s Schedule:
Marnie lives right below your farm. You can find her ranch just above Leah’s cottage and it has animals all around the outside. Since she isn’t one of the 12 marriage candidates her schedule is not that complicated. Her shop is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
She spends Monday in either in the town or with Mayor Lewis and on Tuesday she can be found in the back of Pierre’s general store. She works out with all the rest of the ladies there. She spends a lot of time with the Mayor as it is hinted in the game that they are dating but nothing official is said unless you become good friends with both of them.
Marnie’s Gift Guide:
Like every other character in Stardew Valley Marnie loves receiving gifts but there are certain gifts that she likes more than others. You would benefit from giving Marnie Pumpkin Pie, Diamond, Pink Cake, Farmer’s Lunch, Quartz as well as any items from the Universal Loves or Likes categories.
You should never give Marnie Wild Horseradish, Salmonberry, Clay, Seaweed, Holly or any items from the Universal Hates or Dislikes categories.
Marnie’s Heart Events:
Marnie is a great Non-Playable Character to make friends with because you can expect a lot of good stuff in return as well. She will send you gifts no matter what the friendship level is between you two as long as it is above zero. Her chance of sending you a gift increases with how good the friendship between you is. There are also some events which trigger when you reach certain hearts with her. At 3 and 7 hearts she will send you recipes in the mail but at 6 hearts a special cutscene happens. This will only trigger in the town and if you have 6 hearts with both Mayor Lewis and Marnie. You will find them discussing their relationship and how it will affect the Mayor’s reputation if word got out about this. They find you listening in and if you promise to keep their secret you will increase your friendship with the both of them.
Marnie is a great NPC to befriend because of all the constant gifts. She is also really useful because without her you would not be able to get any animals. The quests she gives you are pretty easy and it is always funny watching her hide her relationship with Mayor Lewis from everyone else.
