Active Sessions is a neat way to see if you forgot to log out of your Facebook account from a public or someone else's computer, as well as if there’s unauthorized access by anyone other than yourself. Each entry includes information such as the date, time, and approximate location of the login, as well as the type of device, operating system, and browser used for access.
You can view the list of all active Facebook sessions and remotely log out of any session. Here is how you can access this part of Facebook:
■ In the address bar of your browser, type www.facebook.com and press Enter.
■ If you’re not logged in, provide your email or phone and password in the required fields and click Log In.
■ On the Home page, click the down-arrow icon from the top-right corner.
■ Click Settings in the new menu.
■ In the General Account Settings page, click on Security and Login in the left-side menu.
■ Locate the Where You're Logged In section in the upper middle of the page.
■ You’ll see a list of all the sessions where you’re currently still logged in. Click on the three vertical dots at the right side of a session.
■ You have an option to Log Out and report unauthorized access by clicking on Not You? Option.
■ Alternatively, you can click on Log Out Of All Sessions to sign out of Facebook from every device you're currently logged in on.
■ Choosing either of the two options will immediately get you logged out of Facebook on specific devices.
■ Once this is done, you can continue using your Facebook account without any being signed in where you don’t want to be.
