Thanks for your suggestion. I connected the vcr to the av1 scart and dvd recorder to av1 scart and loaded tape and blank dvd-rw started both but when tape ended nothing had been recorded

Problem Solved. It was a dodgy usb cable which would charge tablet but not transfer data. Thanks for all helpers Arthur

Thanks for your reply. As you can see in my update. I have a desktop pc connected wirelessly to the same router as tablet and printer and i have no problem printing from pc just the tablet. Any ideas?
