Is it much more responsive when unplugged and not charging? Normally it is the opposite.

Do you see anything else? How many inputs do you have connected and have you tried switching inputs to another video source yet to see if you have video and audio. Need a little more input to help.

Both are fairly similar and decent receivers. The big difference to me the Pioneer has Bluetooth. If that's important to you get the Pioneer.

Don't know what OS your running but if it's Windows 10, hit the F11 on power up and when the splash screen loads select "repair". This is for Win 10, not sure if it's the same function on Win 7 or not. I know you can do the disk repair on either if you have a WIN 10 or 7 recovery CD handy...

Without the specific model number of the sound system I really can't be very specific with my help. Look for a digital audio input on your sound system, it will be a small rectangular port. Look for the same on the rear of the tv, connect the two together with a digital audio cable

What kind of Sony home theatre system? You should at least have a digital audio input on the Sony receiver or soundbar whichever one it is. This setup will require a digital audio cable, connect cable from audio out on the TV to audio in on the receiver or soundbar. Also go into the settings...

To me it sounds like poor cabling / grounding within the speakers themselves. If every connection on the speakers are tight and you have a good solid connection on the PC then most likely it is just poor quality speakers. Do not think it has anything to do with your usb / front panel.

Did you change to different input sources on the tv, ie, another input and did you try another video souce?

Something doesn't sound right with the TV Erik. If your still within the return window, take it back and get a refund. The only other thing I can think about is a firmware update for the TV....don't know if you've tried that or not.

That does sound like an unusual amount of time, not up to date on the specs of that particular tv. My LG smart tv is ready to go just after power up for internet connectivity. Do you have a strong signal to your wi-fi with other devices in close proximity to the tv and if so do they connect...

That's odd. Try to repair the Windows file system by tapping the F8 key after the system has just booted beyond bios. Windows should boot to the repair window. Either select the repair option if it's available or choose to re-load the OS to a previous restore point.
