    HDMI standard is 3.4 Gb/s. There is no wonder it has to be so expensive to fit into any sort of reasonable bandwidth. I don't see this ever being economical to manufacture.

    man that sounds like a wicked fun project to work on. the accelerometer can't be used to track speed accurately, just tilt and bursts of motion, so it would have to be connected to some sensors somehow. I don't think it would be that hard to have custom software, maybe even through the iphone...
