[citation][nom]Shadow703793[/nom]Pretty cool. Much more useful than the USB note pad:http://www.tomsguide.com/us/useles [...] -6812.html[/citation]
at least you could use the notepad to do the simple math that "bring tom" offers.
Yah that notepad is retarded!

I think the purpose of this is to serve as a visual cue with live computations. Not to act as a simple calculator.

It's not a laziness thing, I'd peg it at comedic value and for pissing off your boss. As a side note, a pen/paper or calculator is nowhere near as cool as that clock.

Yes, you can do simple math, but then again you won't get that same effect. You know, seeing money ticking up every second is much more effective than getting a sheet of paper and do some calculations.

I disagree - it isn't a gag or something to laugh at. This is a clear and concise way to send a message to your boss, who typically is the one calling these meetings, that he may want to consider how much "another meeting" costs. (Sometimes, meetings are needed - but some business cultures tend to over-use them.)

I can see a fatal flaw. What if you bring into the meeting some people on work experience who doesn't get paid? Wouldn't that bring the average hourly rate down?

No, they don't get put in as attendees at the meeting
