I have an issue with my TV, HDMI signal is dropping out randomly for about a second and half. There's no actual pattern. The cable is connected to a active HDMI splitter on one side and the TV on the other. The cable length is exactly 25m. What could be the cause of the drops? Bad splitter...

Maybe the adapter is experiencing some issues, I see that it can be connected to the PC via USB, did you try that option?

By any chance, when you plug in the headset, do you get a question from your "audio suite"? I had the same issue with my headset, mic wouldn't work until i looked into my gigabyte audio thing window, within it it was asking me what did i just plugged and when i picked the microphone it started...

Would you sacrifice screen size for mobility? Asus ZENbook series is one of the thinnest i've seen that can fit your budget but they are 13'' screen size. Also they come with a QHD touchscreen, SSD, etc..

Did you check under C:/Program Files/? Or Program Files (x86)/? They can hide there and are easy to notice. Also if you're talking about Chrome, install AdBlock extension

For gaming? Browsing? Office?

From my experience that's a signal for bad RAM sticks, replacing them should solve the issue
