Have to reinstall GeForce driver each time PC boots up

Struggling to find someone to let me install my GPU in their machine :/ Was just looking at the device manager and in the events tab of the properties for the GPU, the information states "Device PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1184&SUBSYS_28251462&REV_A1\4&160685d9&0&0009 requires further installation." I'm...

Have to reinstall GeForce driver each time PC boots up

I'm running an MSI GTX 770 2GB and have suddenly come to a point of having to reinstall my drivers each time I boot my PC up. Before the issue, I'd be running games smoothly at 1060p@60fps, however just before this driver update, I noticed games running at a much lower frame rate than I'm used...

Is my GPU failing as well as overheating?

I wrote this recently but got no responses, so decided to rewrite as things seem to be getting worse. Recently, I was playing The Crew and found the temperatures were reaching 99 degrees for my GPU as indicated by the massive frame rate drop, but since then other things seem to have been going...

Will PC still power on if the motherboard doesn't work?

I've had an issue with my PC for a while not turning on (as in no boot whatsoever) and was speaking to someone today about it who explained that if it were the motherboard to have died, there PC would still get through a stage in booting up. Is this true? Or would the PC still do nothing when...

Does the amount of frames per second relate to the severity of screen tearing?

Ended up doing that as the screen tearing was just pissing me off too much. It's a shame as on my desktop, I was able to use adaptive V-sync which kept it at 60 fps without any tearing.

Does the amount of frames per second relate to the severity of screen tearing?

I'm currently playing Dead Space 3 and have found no fix for v-sync meaning I either play at 30 fps or without v-sync on. I usually get around 100 fps, but it drops down to around 60-75 if I limit my CPU clock speed using the power options in windows. Would I be right in thinking that the lower...

Lenovo Y50 Streams videos very choppy

I don't think its the screen or the GPU because it's a high end graphics card. It should easily handle streaming in 4k, yet mine seems to have issues with even lower resolutions (1080p seems to have audio/video sync issues and it's always choppy) I did read about possible hard drive issues.

Lenovo Y50 Streams videos very choppy

I've got the 4k variant of the Lenovo Y50 with 4GB Maxwell GTX 860M. I've been trying to find various ways of improving my browsing experience but seem to be struggling too much. When trying to watch videos through a browser, I find that they tend to be overly choppy (especially in chrome). The...

    Lenovo y50 for movies

I'd imagine the more recent model will provide a better experience due to its IPS display, however it might be worth looking for information on the experience of the 4k model. One thing I think is a major benefit to that is the 48Hz refresh rate being double 24 FPS for films. It would supposedly...

    What laptop should I get?

I'd really like something with some good sound quality so having a subwoofer to slightly increase my experience would be much grateful. In my old laptop, I had 4 speakers and 2 subwoofers which made the experience sound fantastic! Obviously, beats is only available for HP, so are there any...
