my pioneer receiver powers off, coincidentaly since adding a media center to it, would that be the problem? could it be overloaded?

New computer and can't find the software disc for this program. Apparently the company is out of business. Is there somewhere else I can go to download it? Will it owrk on Vista? Can I copy the program off the old computer somehow and load it on the new one?
