my laptop is a compaq presario cq56. I have been trying to access my camera but canno find it. I am able to to use webcam on skype properly and i can see the camera ontop of my laptop screen. How do i find my camera?

It says everything's fine and working but on skype it's just gray with a loading circle. It was working earlier then this problem started. I restored it to an earlier setting and it worked again. Now the same problem is going on. I think maybe some automatic windows update is messing with it?

After reading about security concerns over webcams I uninstalled the Crystal eye webcam on my Acer Aspire 5745G laptop. And very carefully following the instructions I also edited the registry. How do I restore the registry to restore the web cam on my laptop. Would appreciate any help.
