I just bought a 128gb Samsung SSD, but only now did I realize that it actually comes without a case and is in a 1.8 formfactor with a microsata connection.

Do any of you guys know of a caddy type thing that will convert this into a 2.5 sata drive for installation into a normal laptop?

Thanks!

I found this product that worked for me to restore my laptop. I replaced the 2.5 inch SATA drive with a Micro SATA SSD 3.3V drive using this laptop adapter with a build in 3.3V converter.

I did find 2 other style of SATA to Micro SATA adapters in my search but they both are not meant for laptops they are too long and thick. I tried. Hope this helps.

Thanks the link!

My main concern is that using that adapter would make the SSD just hang in the empty space where the 2.5 drive used to be right? I'm worried about the possible stresses that might put on the connector. But in your experience, this hasn't been an issue?
