Windows doesn't always move nicely from one computer to the next. Problems will generally occur if any of the following occurs:
1. The computers have different storage controllers. If Windows is installed on a drive running in AHCI mode it cannot easily be transferred to a computer with a storage controller running in legacy IDE mode.
2. The computers have different video cards. Different manufacturers, different families, and different models are all a recipe for problems.
3. The computers have different chipsets
Most of the time it's a driver issue. Windows can usually be cloned from one computer to the next if the computers are nearly identical. Otherwise, it needs to be reinstalled
