We hear you loud and clear, readers. You wanted there to be a label somewhere on this article mentioning that it contained a lot of iPhone tips (though it is not an exclusively-iPhone related article). Right now, other than the headline, I don't have a good way to give you that kind of warning before you click on the article. I'm looking into it.
That said, we won't stop writing more about iPhone than Android. What we write about is directly tied to the installed base among our target audience. That is to say, we want iPhone owners, as well as Android owners to read this site. We are always looking for great ideas for Android-related articles, and we have already written many.

I would really appreciate it if our readers stopped suggesting we were paid by Apple. What is the purpose of continuing to say it? People say it every day and we refute it every day....it gets old. I don't mind the criticism of our articles, but I do mind it when readers make untrue defamatory remarks like that.

I'm just wondering...I can see IPhone's market share being around 25-30% among smartphones in the US but does anyone know how many people let's say older than 15 years old do own an IPhone in the US ? How about Europe ??

rim 40% iphone 20 something % market share.....are you doing an article to help us out or help out apple?...actually it seems you took the easyest route and didn't even bother looking for apps that might help the majority of us...instead you put in on your readers to fill that void
I'm pretty disapointed

A lot of these tips are really silly and can be accomplished just as easily with built-in phone tools/apps. Why spend the time and effort remembering/installing/setting up/accessing a sperate service when you can do it with tools you already have?

For example, jott assistant is a completely useless and unnecissary tool. Why go through the hassle of setting up an account and programming in the number to have your thoughts emailed to yourself using voice recognition that may or may not be accurate? You'll also need a computer or a different app to check your email.

Instead, you could just use your phone's voice memo feature. My $30 phone can record voice memos. I'd be amazed if any of the smart-phone users this article is obviously aimed at didn't have the option. Now all you need to keep track of is your phone, and you'll have the exact words you said.

There were several other tips I saw that could be accomplished with equally common built-in tools.

Holdr app made me laugh, most people get placed on hold not by a regular friend or family member but by a some company or support line because the next agent is busy. If you are hung up on while holdr calls you back, and then holdr calls them back, guess what? your back at the back of the line waiting yet again for the next available agent, you will not be reconnected to the person who hung up on you in a call center, it does not work that way. Interesting idea but this can also piss a person off even more and waist even more time instead. Imagine the wait time is 1hr, if your hung up on, you have to wait another hour. Yeah no thanx. LOL
