2 keys on Laptop keyboard & USB keyboard don't work

Sony Vaio SVE1511 & Windows 10 OS
keys r & t don't work even with usb keyboard
any ideas?

You could try and perform a repair install and see if the issue persists. You could also try and remove the keyboard from the laptop(disconnecting the ribbon cable, after powering down the laptop) and see if the same issue persists with the USB driven keyboard. If the latter yet persists, you should backup your critical content and reinstall your OS.
