2 usb ports on PC. can i add a 3.0 hub to increase them for VR?

HI! I see that oculus-rift spec says you need 3 usb 3.0 ports for their device. I only have 2 on my PC, can I add a USB 3.0 hub or expansion card to solve this problem? Or should the USB 3.0 ports be built into the mobo for better/faster performance?

You could get a pci expansion card and install that. A 3.0 hub plugged into a 2.0 port will not give you speeds higher that 2.0.

thanks t53186. I should have worded my question better. I already have only two USB 3.0 ports on my pc. if I buy a 3.0 hub I won't have to open the pc and putz with the mobo, I can just plug it into an existing 3.0 port. but if the pci expansion card is preferred because of better performance I would go that route.
