Question Enough ports to run VR?

I have a pretty good laptop with a beefy gpu. My problem is however that I want to get an oculus rift with three sensors but my laptop only has three USB 3.0 ports. I do have a USB-C port however so I'm wondering can I use a USB to USB-C adapter for my third sensor?
