Well, I live in the UK and like most people I'm not concerned in the least about American football 🙂

Who the hell cares? Did you really need to make that comment? The question was about the tournaments being broadcasted in the U.S, where the hell do you get football rolled in the mix?

I live in the uk and unlike most people, i couldn't give two monkeys about football, propper football or American!

Interesting how Americans call football some horrible copycat game of rugby when clearly soccer (as you call it) has a lot more to do with feet connecting with balls...
That is why the rest of the world calls it football, it being by FAR the most popular sport globally. That is apart from the States where it is almost completely ignored (presumably because you are no good at it).

Whats with all this 3D stuff...All of a sudden they started releasing a bunch of movies in 3D and now this. Hmmm is it 1992 all over again.O wish bring back 3D in movies again was with a new technology where you dont need those glasses.

[citation][nom]rtfm[/nom]^^ I was just being cheeky, no offense meant[/citation]

Ah ic, it almost seemed like you taking cultural offense to the guys comment lol

SO, to get it straight, nobody cares about soccer or football?.... ;-)

i dont like any kind of football, though i do love motorsport, though im part of a dwindling bunch of fans!

This is actually interesting. I would love for this technology to evolve and eventually be able to watch american football in 3D live. I personally care less about Soccer but I'm interested in the progress of this type of technology.

Doesn't matter much for wide shots of the field etc (it'll still look relatively flat from that distance). It'll only make a difference on shots that are focusing and close enough on only a few people at a time

[citation][nom]justiceguy216[/nom]Does anyone have a TV that can display 3D? Then who's going to take advantage of this?![/citation]

It will be done with the 3d glasses - two different coloured lenses filtering out part of the broadcast to give a 3d effect.

The new very expensive movie Avatar in 3D is coming soon. This movie is made by the director who also made the blockbuster Titanic. If people like it, 3D will be commercialzed for profit. Then, viewers can choose what they like, soccer, football, wrestling, etc. I like to see porn in 3 D. Most people will be excited to see a new technology. Right now, I can't say whether 3D is better than 2 D.

If anyone's interested, the World Cup Draw is also today, so we'll get to see who plays who next June.

It's possible US and UK will be in same pool.
