20D image count

How many RAW+JPG images can a 20D fit onto a 1GB card? (I'm going to
make a stretch and assume a 2GB can fit twice as many as a 1GB, so let
me know if that's different.)

So, did you swallow Robert Bobb?

Yesterday I got 248 raw + Small ISO 800 exposures on a 2GB Sandisk
Extreme III.

Today it is empty and says it could do 179 of the same.

Here's one of the 248 (last one, actually):
Cropped and shopped.

Minimum 75 RAW + Max JPEG on 1GB (beyond that depends on actually
photos/ISO, etc.)

I believe the nearest snow, if there is any left, is a hundred miles
north, and on the north side of Mount San Gorgonio, above Palm Springs.
