Hello all :)

I searched through these forums with the keywords:

21 inch display

and did not find what I want.

Is there a manufacturer anywhere in the world that still makes laptops with 21" displays, like the old Dell XPS series laptops?

Forget googling; it is poisoned by the big hardware retailer search engines. They return laptops with tiny 11" screens; I have a 10.1" tablet and a 17" MacBook. My data center at home is going to have an Apple 27" or bigger screen. What I'm looking for is a mobile office type laptop with a screen bigger than my 17" Macbook.

Thanx to all replies

nope, sorry - only the aspect ratio is 21; the screen size itself is only 14".
I am looking for a laptop with a SCREEN SIZE of 19" or bigger.

Sager NP5960 20″ Screen Notebook

I wouldnt go for a 20 inch laptop personally, mostly because there arn't any new ones, I would get a 13 to 17 inch laptop and instead get a 20 inch Mobile display. They use usb to so you dont need to plug it into the wall. Defiantly what my choice would be.

HP released a 27-inch portable monitor for laptops in 2013 thats pretty sexy called:

AOC 22 inch usb monitor

with that you can get away with a much smaller system like 13-15 inch and still have the large screen

If you accept nothing but a large laptop go for the Dell Alienware 18.4 inch laptop:

hope this helps

...so be it. I'll take a look at the Dell, thanx. Most of the time I like the 17" screen, but there's certain times that I would like a bigger screen, like when looking at huge functions or web design.

hes right i forgot about tablet all in ones. There are a couple out there, but as he said he uses for designing/editing so a tablet wouldnt hold a candle to an alienware 18 inch, though im sure you can build a decently powered all in one tablet.

there are some more large tablet all in ones out there

Lenovo HORIZON 2e Two-in-One Tabletop PC he mentioned has i5 processor and intel intergrated 4400 graphics aand 10 point multi touch and you can play board games on it with 4 people so that kinda makes up for integrated graphics

HP 20 inch Rove

Processor: Intel® CoreTM i3-4010U
RAM: 4GB DDR3 RAM
Display: 20" diagonal HD+ 10 point touch-enabled IPS (1600 x 900)
Graphics: Intel HD 4600 (up to 1.65 GB)
Hard Drive: 1TB 5400RPM HYBRID SSD Hard Drive

panasonic 20 inch 4k toughpad
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2426912,00.asp

The Toughpad 4K runs an Intel Core i5 vPro processor and Nvidia GeForce GT 745M graphics. There's 8GB of RAM and the option of a 128GB or 156GB SSD.

If you dont need a a shit ton of horse power but still need deticated graphics the 4k toughpad sounds good to me th ough its probably not out yet :( plus it can be dropped from 4 feet and survive thats always a plus :ouch:
