22 uf capacitor but what voltage?

I have a capacitor that blew. It was a 226 10+ radial tantalum cap or 22uf with 10% variance. What I don't know is whether or not it is a 25 or 35 volt. The system it is in is fed from a 24 VAC transformer but voltages get to 27 VAC or so. Will a 25 VAC Cap do the job or should I use a 35 VAC Cap? How does the voltage affect the operation or job of the cap?

Is there any indication on the wafer as to what the necessary volt's are?

No. All it has is: "226" and directly beneath it "10+". Someone suggested that the 10+ may be the voltage and not the variance of the cap. Thoughts?

honestly, unless its written on the capacitor... i dont know that there is.
