3 input 3 output splitter combination - is there a risk of damage to devices?

I am planning to make 3 inputs and 3 outputs with this combination.

First one does not have a power input - second one has. First one on more conventional sites has good reviews.

1. Is there a risk of damage to my devices? Is there a big risk?
2. Would the signal quality degrade?

If there is no risk - then no problem for me to test this. Quality of transmission etc. later I can decide.

I do not need to have more than one screen open at a time. All I want is to see the screen on whichever screen I open. I do this in order to avoid the hassle of plugging cables on different TV, monitor and projection whenever I want to use. I will use only one screen at a time as an output. But the product says three input, one output. Can I do vice versa? And would stand by screens render the combination useless?

And since it does not have a plug, is there any risk using 2 of these product as 3 input and 3 output? And the transmission quality? Again, if there is no risk of damage I see no problem testing this setup.

Would opening more than one screen give harm? Or stand by screens degrade quality?

These devices do not run in both directions so your first options are better.
I don't think you can damage anything. It just may not work or work completely.
You should be able to use any combination of displays. The resolution will default to the lowest display.
HDMI can be tricky. The combination of sources, cables, switcher, distribution amp, and displays will determine whether things work. A single box solution is more likely to work but at a much higher price.
Audio will also be default to stereo unless all sources support 5.1
Some HDMI switchers have a digital audio output and allow you to chose 5.1 for it.

A combo of those 2 items is your best option.

Everything americanaudiophile says above will still stand regarding having more than one screen at a time on.

Assuming you actually have 3 devices you want to output video from you will only be able to use one at a time.
