32 bit and 64 bit system watching 1080p video

recently i use my old laptop in 32 bits system to watch 1080p YouTube video and it seems laggy.

after i update to 64 bit and it plays smoothly.

i wonder why this happen?

driver issue? old system using flash? new is html5?
